October 29, 2020….

It has been way too long since I have updated everyone and I am sorry for those of you who have been asking. Well here I am!!!

So much has happened and I am sorry if I repeat myself. As you know, I was getting IV chemotherapy on for 2 weeks off for 1. Well, I got so sick. I ended up in the hospital once almost twice but I refused. It was brutal. At my last appointment I was there for hydration with my brother and I just lost it. I thought to myself if this is how I have to live then I don’t want to live. Thankfully my oncologist came right at that very moment to see me. She sat with me and we talked about options. I asked her if I could just take a short break and then start something new and she said of course. I then asked her if I did NOTHING, how long would i have to live and she said, “20-30 days”. That was a real shock to Mark and me, we weren’t prepared for that answer.

The next week we went in and met with my oncologist. She told us the other option would be taking Verzenio twice a day and get Faslodex shots once a month would be comparable treatment. We can try this for 3 months and then repeat scans to see if its working. Good news, my last brain MRI showed great results! So I started the shots and the pill and will get another PET scan January.

I feel ok I am just very weak, tired and get winded easily. It is crazy to me that this stupid cancer can make me feel so shitty.

Next week on the 4th I am taking Mark for an overnight to a place that I have always wanted to go. Then 11/14-11/24 we are going to La Quinta (favorite place) for Thanksgiving and some R & R. I can’t wait. Just hope I have some energy to do some fun stuff!

Well that’s it for now and I will try not to be a stranger….
