Well we are back in Campbell. The trip was amazing! It was in the 80’s each day and sunny. To top it all off, my mom flew out on 11/19 which was a nice surprise. I knew she was coming out in December to help Mark with the drive across country but had no idea she was coming to La Quinta.

I felt pretty good in La Quinta. Had good days and ok days. I found myself taking a nap almost everyday. Also, had some bad back pain on the left side which I know is cancer. It was so nice to get away!

For the last 2-3 weeks I’ve been waking up and my right eye has been swollen. I remember my Oncologist mentioning something showed up on my scan near my right eye but I forgot what it was. I decided to send her a myhealth message to get her opinion and let me know what is near my right eye. Well it turns out, on my last MRI, it showed cancer in my right eye lacrimal gland. She told me that could be causing the swelling. She recommended that I see an Ocular and Orbital Oncologist, Dr. Mruthyunjaya and that he can do much more extensive eye exam then I got from my regular eye exam. Thankfully I was able to get an appointment Friday 12/4. I was told the visit will be 3 hours. Of course ever since I made the appointment, my eye has been fine. Isn’t that what always happens?? You hear a noise from your car and when you take it in, they cannot recreate the noise, LOL:).

Friday 11/27 – labs (a re-check to make sure they are up from 2 wks ago)

Thursday 12/3 – ENT follow up appointment for my voice

Friday 12/4 – Eye Oncologist

Monday 12/7 – Labs and then my Oncologist Dr. Man

Friday 12/11 – Infusion and shots

Saturday 12/12 – We leave to drive to Pennsylvania
