Happy Friday!

Well the eye doctor went very well and both lesions have shrunk. The doctor decided they will just follow me closely and want to see me back in 9 weeks. It was great to get that news!

I had my brain MRI and spine (thoracic and lumbar only) MRI. The results of my brain MRI were good. There was a new area of suspicion but they thought it could possibly be from treatment. For the most part everything has decreased in size. As for my spine MRI, not as good news. There are worsening lesions in L1 and L4 and a new area in my left lowest rib. That has really been hurting me. As for the rest of the area there are some worsening areas and some stable. Oh and there are also lesions behind my left and right scapula. I asked the nurse practitioner today if she felt we should get an MRI of the rest of the spine (cervical and sacral spine). She told me that it would probably be a good idea but she is going to speak to my oncologist, Dr. Man as well as Dr. Marquez the rad/onc doctor. Dr. Man had already spoken to Dr. Marquez about radiation so when I called they told me that they were expecting my call. So I made an appointment to see Dr. Marquez next Friday to discuss radiating the areas of pain.

I am currently at the cancer center just now waiting for my treatment. I already had my labs drawn and say the NP. Hopefully treatment goes smoothly. Nothing planned this weekend, as usual. I think the weather is going to be nice so at least we can take a few walks. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  2. Hi Jen – that is some great news. I’m sure the radiation will help to shrink what’s there and relieve the pain. Keep up the good fight. Unfortunately, we were hit with Covid. My mom is in the hospital with Covid pneumonia and Denny just tested positive but mild symptoms. I have no symptoms but was just tested and waiting for results. This crap is crazy. After intravenous antibiotics and oxygen, they are going to treat her with Remdesivir. Hoping for a full recovery. She’s tough like you❤️😊 I continue to keep my family posted and the girls all follow your blog. We’re praying and fighting right along with you. Stay strong and positive. Give Mark my love. Love you, Martie
