Hump Day…..

Well after speaking with the nurse practitioner last week, she spoke to my oncologist who agreed that they should order MRI with contrast of my cervical spine (the top of the spine basically). I was able to get that scheduled tomorrow at 9:30pm. As soon as I think I have a free week, the shit just keeps coming and coming, LOL!!

Then on Friday we will see Dr. Marquez, my radiation oncology doctor to discuss radiating some/all of the painful boney areas. I’ll keep everyone posted once we know the plan. I have to get a cavity filled next week and that should be it. Unless I start radiation this month.

So I am used to kids looking at my bald head and some even making comments. For the most part I don’t ever hear what the parents say, if anything. I’d hope they would use it as a teaching tool but who knows, I’m not a parent so can’t judge. Well, the kids I give them a pass, but when the adults stare, forget it. It kinda drives me crazy and I really bite my tongue. And then, when I catch them doing it, the look on their faces is like “oh shit she caught me”. Come on, like you’ve never seen anyone without hair before, or should I say a girl without hair before because we all know its normal for guys. Then I wonder, do they think I have cancer or do they think I shaved my head?? Either way, they should stop looking at my head, thank you!!
