I’m back…..

We got back Monday night from La Quinta. It was an amazing, relaxing trip. I actually got to see my friend Amy, a nurse I worked with at Stanford on C2. She moved to San Diego last year and before that, I hadn’t seen her for a year or two. It was so nice to finally see her, she’s the BEST. Even though it wasn’t a long visit, it was a great visit. She is the kind of friend that we may not talk or see each other for years and when we do see each other, it’s like no time has gone by and we pick up where we left off. You all know what kind of friend I mean. That was the highlight of the trip for me!! I have to say, yesterday I had a strange feeling all day. Pretty sure it was because I got in a routine in La Quinta and now we were home.

So now back to reality. Today I had my PET/CT and next is my MRI’s. I’ll put my schedule at the end of this. Honestly, I do have anxiety with the scans. Even though I can’t change the results, it still gets me nervous. I’ve been trying to stay busy. Just can’t wait until they are all over and I get results. I sent a few messages to my oncologist office asking if we can set up time to talk next week to discuss things but have not heard back yet. I have my infusions on Friday and also see the NP, so I will ask her if I haven’t heard back yet.

I am now fully vaccinated and still have no idea, mask, no mask, no mask with others who have been vaccinated, I don’t know. I still plan to take the same precautions as before, nothing different. The cases are still happening so I don’t feel safe yet.
