Busy….
Thankfully I’ve been pretty busy with different company and road trips. My Mom is here until 8/26 and Maria is here with her and leaves tomorrow😞. We’ve had a fun time!! Also, Mark has been gone on his annual golf trip and gets home Wednesday. I’ve thought about how we were with him last year and how sick I was from my treatments. It’s like night and day to this time last year!!
So I’ve been dealing with this infected tooth, the last tooth on the bottom left of my mouth. I had a crown placed and since have been dealing with infection after infection. Ive taken several rounds of antibiotics and it just keeps returning. This last dentist visit I was told to get another crown done. Then I reminded the dentist that I had cancer in the jaw below the tooth and had 10 radiation treatments to that area. So then the dentist decided that I should just have the tooth pulled and they referred me to an oral surgeon. I called the oral surgeons office and after they heard my history I was told that they wouldn’t pull the tooth and I should see someone at a hospital. Long story short, I’ll see an oral surgeon next Friday at Stanford. I guess I should have started with, I get Zometa monthly for my bone mets and having major dental work while on that drug can lead to osteonecrosis of the jaw which I’ve heard is an ongoing issue.
My next treatments are 8/20 then I get all my scans the following week. I’ll report back after I get my results.
