Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. Can’t believe it’s almost the end of April and tomorrow is Easter.
We got the last scan, full spine MRI results. As expected things are worse. Multiple metastatic lesions throughout my spine, pelvic and metastatic rib disease and leptomeningeal disease. That sums it up but there was more noted.
I’m feeling ok. My memory is definitely worse and it really bothers me. There is a medication that may help but I don’t feel like adding anything else to the mix. More because we don’t even know if it will help. The other thing I’ve noticed is my balance is off. I get dizzy, stairs are difficult and I’m unsteady on my feet.
My Oncologist is out of the office until next week so I’m planning on talking with her about the scan and decide what the plan is. I know for the brain there are 2 different areas of change/growth so the possible treatment would be whole brain radiation which I’ve had and they don’t do it twice.
On another note, I’ve had my visitors. My brother and then my sister came out. My sister left two days ago. We had a nice time shopping, eating and drinking!!!
Next is the new chemo on 4/29. Hoping side effects aren’t too bad. I’ll be getting treatment 2 wks on 1 wk off. Example: treatment on 4/29 and then 5/6 and then off until 5/20 and so on. Wish me luck.
